Assam‘s Dima Hasao district has been under serious turmoil following the news of being integrated in to the ‘Nagalim‘ as proposed in Naga Accord. The ‘Naga Peace Accord‘ to be signed between the Naga Rebel Leaders and the Central Govt. has not yet been made public, much to the worries of the people in the border areas of Assam. While all the areas of Assam, bordering Nagaland has been under serious pressure and threat by the Nagaland’s Rebel Groups, the secrecy maintained by the central govt. on the Naga accord has been repeatedly questioned by people in Assam. Dima Hasao faced the first brunt of the situation and public worry, where two person died while protesting. Assam Govt.’s stand on this has also been questioned by the public.
