In a country where, two-third of the population depends on agriculture for livelihood and more than 400 million people falls under the labourer category, it is very disappointing to find their interests are being neglected. While issues of debt, failed agriculture, lack of proper pricing forces farmers to commit suicide or go for rigorous protests, workers are also not in a better position. Recent episodes of farmer and worker’s protest and the government’s way to deal with it shows how the present Govt. is unwilling to pay any heed to their need. Death of 5 farmers in recent protest of Madhya Pradesh is a solid proof of the same. Political vendetta of the ruling party is more than appalling for the workers and farmers of the nation and is growing bitter and bitter day by day.
