When the prime face of a country that celebrates its 69th republic day avoids some crucial issues like decline in employment generation with remarks of ‘selling pokoda’, the country need to think over and over again where is it going. Such superficial comments from the crucial stakeholders and decision makers of government shows the core essence of the republic called India. Boasting comments, misleading information, use of social media to spread hatred, violence, speech ban, communalism, religious politics is crippling the very essence of the Indian Constitution. So, while we celebrate our Republic Day, we need to analyse the current India with much critical and objective attitude, so as to be the Republic as deemed in our constitution.
