Fuel prices reached an all time high in the nation aftermath of Karnataka elections. Petrol price on Sunday touched a record high of Rs 76.24 per litre and diesel climbed to its highest ever level of Rs 67.57 in the national capital, thus adding worries to the nation’s poor and middle classes. Rulling NDA, who was highly vocal in previous government’s time every time fuel prices took a upturn, seems to remain clueless about what to do to cut down the prices. PM Modi, who made sky-touching promises about reducing prices in 2014, seems to have no time to comment on the same. While rising prices are falling heavy on the pockets of the citizen’s, it may also be mentioned that the same, if not checked or adequately handled may fall highly heavy on the pockets of BJP in upcoming Lok Sabha Election of 2019.
