Demonetisation Aftermath

The latest report by RBI on the return of demonetised notes have renewed the question on the success of the much hyped move called ‘demonetisation’, taken by Modi Govt. Oppositions have criticized the Modi Govt. calling the ‘surgical strike’ on black money as a big flop and also accused the Govt of legalizing ‘black money’ into ‘white money’. Earlier also, economist and former prime minister of the country Dr Manmohan Singh has said that demonetisation will be a major blow to the nation’s economy. While the recently released statistics of RBI has revealed the real face of demonetisation to many extent, how the same will rule the Indian economy, is yet uncertain and unpredictable, much to the worries of the people in power.
