njudicious application of agro-chemicals in cultivated crops of Assam has been a growing concern among the concerned citizens of Assam. There are certain pockets in the state where application of fertilizer and pesticide are very high and the same pockets supply majority of the food items to the state. These farmers mostly belong to migrant population,who need to be made aware of the ill health impacts of such practices. On the other hand, the traditional crop growing practices of the state is mostly organic and is followed by the indigenous tribes and thus needs to be given more importance for better health and environmental safety.
